Zev Zhang is an interdisciplinary design researcher, thin-film inflatable structure designer, and the founder of Air Sketch. His practice sits at the intersection of programmable materials, digital fabrication and human–computer interaction, exploring how the physical behaviour of materials can create new modes of interaction and new design possibilities.

He graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University and is currently studying Innovation Design Engineering, a joint programme of the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. His research and creative work focus on soft pneumatic structures, soft robotics and tangible interactive systems.

In 2025, he founded Air Sketch to explore the wide-ranging applications of soft inflatable structures made possible by digital fabrication.

Zev Zhang is also an independent product designer. His design work has been exhibited at Design Shanghai, the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), China CMF Trend Institute 2026 and FutureLab Shanghai, among others.

章喆（Zev Zhang）是一名跨学科设计研究者、薄膜充气结构设计师，也是 Air Sketch 的创始人。他的实践位于可编程材料、数字制造与人机交互的交叉领域，关注材料的物理行为如何创造新的交互方式与设计可能性。

他毕业于西交利物浦大学，目前在皇家艺术学院与帝国理工学院联合开设的创新设计工程（Innovation Design Engineering）专业学习。他的研究与创作主要涉及柔性气动结构、软体机器人及实体交互系统。

2025 年，他创立了 Air Sketch，探索数字制造下柔性充气结构的广泛应用。

章喆也是一名独立产品设计师，设计作品曾展出于中国设计上海家具展、中国国际家具展 CIFF、中国 CMF 趋势研究所 2026、上海 FutureLab 等展览。
